Issue "You attempted to add a PAL file to an NTSC project. To use files of this format, you must change the TV standard in the preference window." occurs when MCE file or supported video file is imported into PrimeTime.
Resolution Make sure that you are using the proper video file specifications for your session. Obviously, if you are trying to make an NTSC project, you will need to create NTSC files. Please review our file parameters for VCD and DVD parameters to make sure they are the proper specifications. The most import things to check are the frame rate and the resolution of the files (29.9 frames per second for NTSC, and 25 for PAL; resolution should be 720x480 for NTSC and 720x576 for PAL). If you are using an MCE machine, you may over come this with your DVR-MS files by updating or reinstalling your capture card drivers. Here's how:

  1. Go into the Device Manager (right click on "My Computer" > click on the "Hardware" tab > click on the "Device Manager" button.

  2. Open "Sound, video and game controllers" and remove the 5 Avermedia "cards"

  3. Reboot the computer and let Windows find the new drivers for the "New" hardware.

  4. Record a new show and burn

NOTE: Previously captured files which give you a "DVDErr-1" or "PG no video" error are corrupt and can't be used.
Gateway customers may have a capture update for their system.
