Print this Article Issue When building or burning a DVD, the process stops at "Building movies".
Cause This is commonly cause by file issues. The file can either be encoded improperly or corrupt altogether. In some cases, it's can be related to codecs on your system.
Resolution Try these steps tp resolve this issue:
- Try reproducing with our test files (http://patches.sonic.com/TestMPEG.zip). These files were encoded by Sonic tot he exact specificationf or DVD authoring and should work flawlessly. If you cannot reproduce with the test files, re-encode the files as your files are either not compatible (check the settings you encoded at with the Help File included in DVDit) or have become corrupt.
- If the files import successfully, at what point does the build fail? To test, try building a disk image or DVD folder to your hard drive and try to determine at what point the buod fails.
- Other things to try:
- Set the display properties to at least 1024x768, 16 bit color, 75Hz refresh rate.
- Install the latest version of Quicktime.
- Install the latest version of Internet Explorer.
- Install the latest version of DirectX9.
- Install the latest version of Windows Media Player 10. You can get this from Windows Updates.
- Install the latest version of your graphics card drivers. These can be found on the manufacturer of your computer's website or the video card's website.
- If you have Beyond TV installed, uninstall it and try again. If this resolves the issue, then download the latest version of Beyond TV.
- If you have a Matrox system, disable WYSIWYG (the TV icon inthe sytem tray).
