Drag-to-Disc cannot be removed from the application list when installing Easy Media Creator 9

Issue

When performing a custom installation of some Roxio software suites, you may not have the option to install the suite without Drag-to-Disc.


Resolution

Install Easy Media Creator 9 with Drag-to-Disc. Once installation is complete and wish to remove Drag-to-Disc, do the following:

Windows XP

  1. Go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel

  2. Launch Add/Remove Programs
  3. Locate Roxio Drag-to-Disc and select it.
  4. Click the Remove button.


Windows Vista

  1. Windows Vista: Go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Programs --> Uninstall a program.
  2. Locate Roxio Drag-to-Disc and select it.
  3. Click on Uninstall/Change above the list.
