Print this Article Issue After installing Easy Media Creator 8 and launching Backup MyPC, some users may receive the following error message:
Backup MyPC
This is a pre-release version of Sonic Backup MyPC.
It is NOT of production or release quality. Be sure you have an adequate backup of your system BEFORE using it. This version is NOT guaranteed to product backup sets which are compatible with any current or future version of our software. It is provided for your evaluation, and may not be given to any third party without Sonic Solution's express, written permission.
Resolution This message is typically only seen during the development cycle of our product but was inadvertently included in the shipping version of Easy Media Creator 8. The Backup MyPC product installed as part of Easy Media Creator 8 has been fully tested and is a complete and final product.
If you have installed Easy Media Creator 8 and you receive this error message when launching Backup MyPC you may download and install the following hotfix:
http://tools.roxio.com/support/c8/bump_hotfix.exe
Once installed the pre-release messaging will no longer appear.
