Print this Article Issue When trying to add titles and files in DVD Builder via the Add a title option or through browsing, the file size appears properly, but the file is not visible and cannot be worked with.
Cause Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 is the first version fully compatible with Windows Vista. Because of this, some components of older versions of Roxio software (in this case Easy Media Creator 7.x) may not function properly.
Resolution Easy Media Creator 9 and above has no known conflicts with full release version Internet Explorer 7. Easy Media Creator 7.x users may want to consider upgrading not only for Internet Explorer 7 compatibility, but if they intend on purchasing Vista as well. For more information, please read Windows Vista Support.
Users who wish to continue to use Easy Media Creator 7.x can safely remove Internet Explorer 7 and automatically revert to Internet Explorer 6, thus restoring full functionality to DVD Builder and other components that may have been effected. To do this:
- Go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs.
- Scroll down the list of Currently installed programs to Windows Internet Explorer 7 and select it.
- Click the Remove button
- A window asking to reboot will appear. Before rebooting, be sure to save any work you may have completed.
