Resolution These instructions will show you how to burn high-definition (HD) video on standard DVDs (AVCHD disc) for playback on your Playstation 3 or other compatible Blu-ray players. The Blu-Ray plug-in is not needed to make AVCHD discs.
If you own the Creator Blu-Ray plug-in and a Blu-Ray burner with Blu-Ray media, you can burn a Blu-Ray disc that will play in any compatible (or most) Blu-Ray players.
- Select Create DVDs – Advanced in the Video – Movies tab in Roxio Creator. This will launch MyDVD.
- In the Please select the project type window choose one of the following options:
- Blu-Ray Project or Blu-Ray no menus Project - these projects will only be selectable if you own the Creator Blu-Ray plug-in.
- AVCHD Project (HD on standard DVDs)
- AVCHD no menus Project (HD on standard DVDs)
- Once MyDVD opens, click the MyMedia or Folders tab and use the folders to browse to the videos you want to import.
- Once you have selected all the movies you want to add to your project, click the Add button.
- To add a style in HD, click Change Menu Style under the Edit pane in MyDVD.
- In the Select Menu Style window, check the HD only check box under the window with the selection of styles. This will ensure that you are using only HD compatible styles.
- Select the menu style you want and click OK to close the menu. Your menu will be displayed to customize.
- Click the text filed to enter your own text or move the buttons around to an order that you like.
- Once you are done editing your DVD menu, click the Burn button above the menu to begin burning your disc.
