Print this Article Issue When trying to install Roxio Creator 2009, the installation encounters an error message "You must install Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 before installing the content" then installer rolls back.
Resolution
If you are using a downloaded installer, such a purchase from the Roxio eStore, please make sure you have installed the program installer file before installing the content file.
If you are installing from a disc from a physical copy of the software, or already installed the main program from the download but still encounter this error message, please download the patch below to resolve the issue.
2009ContentDiscError_HotFix.zip (36 kb)
Once the patch is downloaded, unzip it to your Desktop and double click on the 2009ContentDiscError_HotFix.exe file to apply it then try to reinstall Creator 2009 again.
