Applications fail to launch after running registry cleaner

Issue

After running registry cleaner, Roxio applications fail to launch or you may receive the following error message:

“(application name) has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly…”


Cause

The error may occur because the registry cleaner has removed registry keys required for the application to run.


Resolution


To resolve the issue, you will need to perform a clean installation of the software. This will replace the needed registry keys for proper operation of your software.

Please note: When running registry cleaners, it is recommended that you disallow or skip Roxio/Sonic registry keys to avoid experiencing this issue again.
