Print this Article Issue When launching Easy Media Creator 9, a Windows installer pops up and attempts to install Easy Media Creator 9.
This may include looking for specific aspects of the application such as a .msi file or other components of the software or looping of the installer.
Resolution To resolve this issue, please perform a clean install of Easy Media Creator 9 as directed in the article Clean Installation of Easy Media Creator 8 or 9 on Windows XP. Vista instructions are located here.
If clean install does not resolve the issue, please follow the instructions below to create a new user account with Administrator rights and reinstall from the new user account.
Windows XP
- Start --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs. Select and Remove Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 from the list.
- Start --> Control Panel --> User Account. Create a new user account named Roxio as Computer Administrator.
- Restart the computer and log into the Roxio account.
- Reinstall Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 in the Roxio account.
Windows Vista - Start --> Control Panel --> Programs and Features. Select Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 from the list and click the Uninstall button above.
- Start --> Control Panel --> User Accounts. Create a new user account named Roxio as Computer Administrator.
- Restart the computer and log into the Roxio account.
- Reinstall Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 in the Roxio account.
